Meet the staff
Poplar Vets is Full Training (TP) and RCVS Approved Graduate Development Practice (VetGDP),
Wood Wharf Vets is an auxiliary Training Practice.
We support students from Royal Veterinary College, College of Animal Welfare, City and Islington College, Nottingham Trent University, Capel Manor College, University of Liverpool and international students from the European Union via Erasmus programme.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of our business, we are unable to offer work placements for students who are under 18 years old. Additionally, priority is given to students who are already studying veterinary medicine or animal science-related studies. Please note that we also receive a significant amount of interest, and as a result, we are unable to accommodate all applicants. We appreciate your interest and understanding in this matter.

Benefits of our London Pet Referral Services
Reduced Cost to the Client:
In-house referrals often result in reduced costs for clients compared to external referrals. By utilizing the expertise available within our clinics, we can offer special care without the additional expenses associated with external specialists.
Convenience:
In-house referrals eliminate the need for clients to wait or travel to other facilities for specialized care. This convenience saves time and reduces stress for both the client and their pet.
Continuity of Care:
In-house referrals ensure continuity of care for pets. Since our clinics maintain detailed records and communication channels, transitioning between primary care and advanced veterinary services is seamless, leading to better outcomes for our patients.
Collaborative Approach:
In-house referrals facilitate collaboration between primary care veterinarians and certificate holders. This collaborative approach allows for comprehensive assessments, tailored treatment plans, and ongoing support for both the pet and the client.
Timely Intervention:
In-house referrals enable timely intervention and treatment for complex cases. With andvanced practitioner and certificate holders readily available, we can promptly address medical concerns, potentially improving prognosis and quality of life for the pet.
Affordable Options:
Unlike many referral centers owned by corporate veterinary groups, our in-house referral services offer affordable options for advanced care. We understand the financial concerns of pet owners and strive to provide accessible healthcare without compromising on quality. By keeping our services within our network of clinics, we can maintain competitive pricing, ensuring that pet owners receive the necessary care without facing exorbitant charges commonly associated with external referral centers.
In-house referrals offer a holistic approach to pet care, focusing on affordability, convenience, and the well-being of both the pet and the client.
