Technical Aspects of Audio Visual Archives

Book:

A one day course for researchers and archivists

The course is designed to familiarise picture researchers and archivists with some of the technical issues involved with integrating archive images into the production process.
This is an era and area of rapidly evolving technology and it is important to keep abreast of the changes affecting everyone in the industry.
As computer and digital technologies make more images available more immediately to producers and film makers, it is imperative to keep on top of the technical aspects.
These include metadata and resource discovery, the technology of the images themselves, and how best to incorporate them into the production.
