New Pathways Film Fund >>

Creative skill sharing and supporting new talent is part of VET’s ethos and delivering annual support for the New Pathways Film Fund is just one of the many ways in which we do.

The London Borough Film Fund Challenge's east arm, The New Pathways Film Fund, is designed to maximise investment in new talent by offering support to six first time film makers. VET support them through every aspect of their edits through to finish and short film directors have been taking advantage of our RED camera and Cannon 5D workflows. We give them more than just access to snazzy kit. We give integrated, innovative support and training so that anything is possible.

In the past filmakers have returned following their debut for help with further projects, their foot well and truely planted on the rung of the ladder! Some have even gone on to screen at Cannes. Last year, the London Borough backed short film ‘Love does grow on trees’ made waves at the Tribecca Film Festival 2009.

The VET supported short ‘Kids Might Fly’ is currently winning awards internationally. Our latest round of New Pathways films débuted at the East End Film Festival 2010 and are now headed for BAFTA to compete for the ‘Best of Borough’ Audience Award.
