Creative skill sharing and supporting new talent is part of VET’s ethos and delivering support for the New Pathways Film Fund is just one of the many ways in which we do.
The London Borough Film Fund Challenge's east arm, The New Pathways Film Fund, is designed to maximise investment in new talent from diverse communities by offering support to six successful first time film makers through every aspect of their edits through to finish.
VET's passionate team delivered support enabling these first time film makers to take control of their film projects, get advise on mixing different formats and on different systems, while making sure that it all worked.
In the past filmakers have returned following their debut for help with further projects, their foot well and truely planted on the rung of the ladder! Some have even gone on to screen at Cannes. This year, the London Borough backed short film ‘Love does grow on trees’ is making waves at the Tribecca Film Festival 2009.
It’s great to see both new and established clients standing shoulder to shoulder promoting their exceptional work at Festivals around the world. It’s a testament to the level of access we’re able to give fresh talent into this competitive industry; by simply matching great ideas with the skills needed to achieve them.
The 2009 New Pathways Film Fund completed shorts are currently showcasing at the EAST film festival!
