Course Outline
This course is for Final Cut Pro editors who want to learn Avid Media Composer. It covers the key differences and similarities between the two editing applications and offers a quick translation for the experienced FCP editor. Participants learn to set up projects in Media Composer, understand how Avid handles clips and media as well as gaining a clear understanding of the post production workflow from ingest to output. Instruction includes the editing interface for audio and video, timeline editing, keyboard shortcuts, unique features, and user settings for stand-alone and multi-user environments. Titles and effects are also covered.
